ABOUT DR. AVIVA LEGATT

WHO AM I?

I’m Dr. Aviva Legatt. I am a consultant in highly-selective college admissions, and a faculty member at University of Pennsylvania in Organizational Dynamics.

Organizations like The New York Times and Business Insider have sought my expertise on college admissions.

I have experience on an undergraduate admissions committee at a highly-selective college (it was The Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, where I also oversaw the top-ranked pre-college program Leadership in the Business World).

In addition to working with college and graduate school applicants in the United States, I specialize in working with international applicants.

In my spare time, I enjoy participating in community theatre, meditating, and spending time with family and friends.

WHY DO I DO THIS?

Why I really do what I do is because of my experiences as a teenager. You see, my idea for my business was inspired by my own college search in high school. At that time, I didn't have a lot of guidance about how to find and select the best fit colleges, so I figured it out myself by reading guidebooks, conducting research online, and visiting colleges.

My process wasn't perfect, though. I was really stressed at the time (I even contracted pneumonia fall semester senior year). My stress was due to my misguided belief that a college acceptance would make or break my future, and that the one piece of paper would define whether or not I was worthy.

But this thinking couldn't have been more flawed and incorrect. While I was fortunate to get into my "dream school," NYU, and I had a wonderful experience there, I know I would have had a much better college application process with the right type of support.

Today, I live my dream - I provide students and parents with information and support that they need to be confident in their college-related decisions and the application process. By being the expert on the process, I take out the guesswork. You know what I'm talking about - where you try to read the minds of the admissions officers without any context or basis. (Hint: that's not a good idea).

Now that I have earned my success through hard work, I want to pay it forward by helping you live your dream.

Let me help you to stand out for admission to Ivy League, elite, and highly-selective colleges and universities across the United States.
